About Kaaspi

Business-led support for knowledge, AI and process improvement

Kaaspi helps knowledge-intensive firms bring structure to business problems, information, processes and technology requirements.

Knowledge Architecture. AI Strategy. Process Improvement.

Kaaspi works where business analysis, knowledge management, information architecture, technology selection and practical change meet.

What Kaaspi does

Kaaspi is a specialist consultancy for financial, legal and professional services firms that need to make important knowledge, process and technology decisions more structured and practical.

The work often begins where a firm knows something is not working as well as it should, but the problem is not isolated to one tool, one team or one process.

Kaaspi helps clarify the business problem, understand the information and process foundations, define practical requirements, and create a route to improvement.

About Richard Tomlinson

Kaaspi is led by Richard Tomlinson, a former Chief Knowledge Officer and senior knowledge architecture leader with 30 years’ experience across technology, knowledge management, information architecture and professional services.

Richard has worked in senior knowledge roles at major international law firms, including Linklaters, Shearman & Sterling and Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, and was most recently Chief Knowledge Officer and Associate Partner at Ardevora Asset Management.

His experience spans knowledge strategy, information architecture, taxonomy, metadata, document and knowledge systems, process improvement, business analysis, technology selection, governance, project delivery and change.

Richard is a certified Business Analyst, PRINCE2 project manager, ITIL certified, and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Business-led technology and AI readiness

Richard’s work has often sat between business need, knowledge structure, process design and technology adoption. He helps organisations understand business problems, clarify requirements, assess technology options and prepare knowledge and information foundations for future analysis, automation and AI-enabled work.

Kaaspi’s approach is simple: start with the business problem, the information architecture, the process and the practical requirements before selecting or implementing technology.

How Kaaspi works

Kaaspi is designed for firms that need senior, practical support without immediately committing to a large programme of change.

Most engagements can be shaped as fixed-scope, fixed-fee reviews, workshops or improvement sprints, giving the firm clarity at the outset on scope, cost, outputs and next steps.

Where further support is useful, follow-on work can be scoped separately around implementation planning, workshops, project delivery or targeted advisory support.
